Benefits of Dance

Whether you were the shy kid hiding in the corner of dance class, the star in the center, or just there to have fun with friends, dance likely had a lasting impact on you. Beyond the fun, dance supports physical, emotional, and mental well-being, and research continues to prove its benefits for people of all ages — whether you are just starting at three years old or discovering it later in life.

Dance advocates have powerful allies in public health, cognitive science, and community partners

When people think of youth athletic training, dance may not be the first activity that comes to mind. However, it is one of the most effective and underutilized tools for developing well-rounded young athletes.
